Salvatore Ferragamo - The amazing Shoemaker

While window-shopping in Italy a good two months ago, I was drawn to one particular window. It was the Salvatore Ferragamo store. They had a storyline up on the window about how he made his 1st pair of shoes when he was just 9 years old to surprise her sister as she didn't have shoes for an important event. 

That's not the only story that touched me about Mr Ferragamo... He went on to tell of how he went to America and was surprised that shoes weren't hand made, instead, mass machine produced. He had a passion for shoe making. Here's a few pics I took...
