The little things
I was reading Seth Godin's blog post yesterday, and my attention was caught by the "Diet for the mind" blog post. I'd love to read all the books he recommended but one author that caught my attention was one Steven Pressfield. His book "Do the work" has the most appraisals and I'm going to get it.
While I was googling about him I came across a PDF version of his "The war of Art" book. Of course I downloaded it and I simply cannot put it down. I've always heard of the expression "you are your worst enemy"and this book hits at exactly that. I won't spoil it, but heres a couple of points I picked up.
1. Procrastination can be beaten
2. Now is better than later
3. Practice makes perfect
4. The more nervous you are, the greater the chance you might be good at it (whatever u want to achieve)
5. If your friends think you're weird or changing, its ok. It's not you, it's them.
6. Time is the best teacher
7. You will not get it right the 1st couple of times, but you'll turn pro
8. Master your craft
9. Do not let yourself be defined or limited to a specific project
10. The first step is always the hardest, but a journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step
Thanks for reading :)
Love, Lo
Sounds like a good book, where can I download?
