AFCON feature: Ethiopia

Since South Africa is hosting the AFCON 2013, I've been fortunate enough to see a few AFCON games (on TV though). The game that made the most impact on me was the Ethiopia VS Zambia game. Zambia is defending the title this year and it was a huge surprise to me and most Africans that although they were 10 men, Ethiopians rose to the challenge and gave Zambia a run for its money. There was no winning team, they drew 1 all, but the atmosphere and the support from the Ethiopian side was one for the books. It made me want to buy a jersey, match ticket and a plane ticket to support the AFCON because as much as there are no games featured in my city. I want to see the competition because my country is hosting the rest of Africa and we need to show support. I now know that these are the early stages, but I will be supporting Ethiopia.
